Tangerine 'Stangs of 1996'

This is my daily driver, converted to a Cobra by installing the 2000 Cobra motor. Clearance issues neccessitated the 2" high rise hood.  Notice the billet grill and aftermarket 1 piece headlights which Ford should have done OEM.

Parked in front of my O Gauge model train store, The Train Loft in Winston Salem, NC, I add something each year to the car.  Last summer it was the Cobra style front and rear bumper covers.

Automobiles, like model trains, can be a passionate hobby. I first saw the Tangerine Mustang GT on a lot in 1996 here in Winston Salem.  With too big a family to deal with I could not afford the car new at that time.  In 1999 I went on a search for arthe 1996 Tangerine Mustang GT Convertible w/5 Spd, white leather interior, and white convertible top. I got lucky to find the car w/22M miles in an orange grove in Jacksonville Florida! A telephone call to confirm details, a $99 flight on Value Jet, and I was driving my new ride home!

Other mods include white face gauges, KN filter, Flowmaster cat back stage 2, and MAC cold air induction, a ton of alum billet accessories, Cobra R 1995 rims, and very wide BF Goodrich drag radials 305X 35X17.

I also own and drive a 1996 Tangerine Mustang Coupe, 5 Spd, cloth interior, 4.6L V-8, special "Boss is Back" factory option, 17" bullit style wheels added,only 866 Tangerine Mustangs made in 1996.
